My Latest Summer Project in the Studio
Here we go into the hottest and rainiest month of the year here in SWFL. For me, the summer is when the work gets done because everyone has gone up north to enjoy their summers remembering how hot it is here! It’s actually not bad. I used to live in the DC area where the heat and humidity are even worse and there’s no beach! So these summers are a breeze, literally an ocean breeze, and I work most frequently with the studio sliders open (crazy, I know).
I wanted to share my latest project which I was so fortunate to work on with the incredibly talented creator and photographer/videographer, Reagan Rule (@reaganrule, reaganrule.com). When Gardner Colby, the gallery that represents me here in Naples, asked its artists if we had videos we could add to their website updates for our bios, I figured it was time I finally got on with this. I really love the result despite the fact that looking at oneself in video can be very challenging in so many ways (I know you ladies feel me here LOL). Anyway, I hope you enjoy learning a little more about my work and why I do it.
Oh and speaking of work, there’s a bunch of new pieces coming together in the studio which I’m excited about. Stay tuned in to the galleries that represent me and instagram to see what’s happening with that. Happy July everyone - enjoy the summer!
Thanks for following along, and for your interest in my work. As always, I hope to meet you while walking on the beach, or when it gets cool and dry again!
XO, Chris
